DISCIPLINE CODE-ZERO TOLERANCE
MISBEHAVIOR THAT REQUIRES IMMEDIATE INTERVENTION BY THE STAFF MEMBER WHO IS SUPERVISING THE STUDENT OR OBSERVES THE MISBEHAVIOR

EXAMPLES OF ZERO TOLERANCE MISBEHAVIOR PROCEDURES POSSIBLE DISCIPLINE RESPONSES
*Aggressive Physical Behavior/ Assault on Students and/or Staff
Members
* Teacher observing behavior files a report/meets with the Principal Parents/ Guardian Picks Up Child Immediately from School
*Possession, Transfer, Use of
Weapons (or “look-alike” weapons) or
Explosive Devices
*The Principal Investigates the
Infraction and Initiates Disciplinary
Action
Principal meets with parent upon
arrival to pick up child
*Arson or Bomb Threat *Principal Meets with the Teacher and
Student and Notifies the Parents of the
Misbehavior and Resulting Disciplinary
Action
Parents, student, principal, teachers
must have a conference before the
child is allowed to return to school.
*Possession, Use, or Distribution of
Alcohol or Illegal Drugs
*An Accurate Record of the
Misbehavior and Disciplinary Action Is
Maintained By the Principal
Student may be suspended or
expelled depending on
misbehavior.
*Unauthorized Pulling of Fire Alarm
